Myopia

 

  •  Myopia is one of the most popular vision problemin the world, especially in Asia. In In Hong Kong the prevalence of myopia at age 12 is over 60%(2)
  • Most myopic people will develop myopia at the age 4-8, and at the fast progression period at age 6-18.
  • High myopia will develop high risk of other eye diseases, e.g. retinal detachment and macular disease
  • Most optometric researchers are going to find a way to stop or reduce the myopia progression of children andto reduce the high myopia population.
